Charlie Chaplin – a delicious cake

Ingredients:

For the cake dough:

20 tbsp of flour

17 tbsp of sugar

3,52 oz of butter or margarine

1 cup of sunflower oil

1 cup of coffee or water

1,94 oz of cocoa

3,71 fl oz of buttermilk

2 eggs

1 tsp of bicarbonate of soda

1 sachet of vanilla sugar

For the glaze:

8 tbsp of powder sugar

3 tbsp of cocoa

3 tbsp of sunflower oil

1 tbsp of water

Charlie Description:

A Charlie Chaplin cake that combines the flour with sugar, cocoa, coffee and milk.

Mix the flour and the sugar in a bowl. In a pan, cook the butter, sunflower oil, coffee (or water) and the cocoa. Pour the composition immediately in the bowl, over the flour and sugar, then add the buttermilk, the eggs, the bicarbonate of soda and the vanilla sugar. Mix it all well with a wooden spoon. Pour the composition on a baking tray and bake at a medium heat for 20 minutes. While the cake bakes in the oven, prepare the glaze. Mix the ingredients for the glaze, without cooking, and pour it over the hot cake. Let it cool down.
