Starting from the beginning of the world, when the apple was “untouchable”, being a symbol of knowledge, good and evil, the apple gained fame among the inhabitants of the whole World, being today one of the most consumed and most appreciated fruits.
But the stories they play are not the only reason to enjoy this fruit. Apples play an important role in healthy eating, and are full of antioxidants and vitamins beneficial to the body.
Originally from Eastern Europe and Asia; apples are very durable fruits; even fresh; managing to maintain their nutritional and aromatic properties for about four months; if kept in optimal conditions, in a cool place and dark.
They protect against metabolic syndrome – people who eat apples every day have a lower risk of suffering from metabolic syndrome throughout their lives – which can cause diabetes and serious heart disease.
Apples are an excellent source of multivitamins – consumed with shell (of course, washed thoroughly beforehand), apples can provide an increased intake of vitamins and minerals beneficial to the health of the body, such as vitamins A and C, calcium, potassium, iron , phosphorus, folic acid and an increased level of antioxidants.
They regulate blood sugar – contain certain phytonutrients, such as quercetin, that can prevent sudden fluctuations in blood sugar levels.
They can prevent and control atherosclerosis – specialists in the field have confirmed that a daily apple consumption for one month can reduce the blood content of the substance in the blood that is responsible for the damage to the elasticity of the arteries by 40%, causing atherosclerosis.
